猴子也算是人類的近親了。它們看到人們做什麼，都能學得似模似樣，而英文當中自然少不了猴子！
1. Get one's monkey up
"To get one's monkey up" 又作 "to put one's monkey up"，意思是發怒，生氣。例如：
She gets her monkey up if you tell her she is wrong.（如果你说她错了，她会火冒三丈。）
2. I will be a monkey's uncle.
"I will be a monkey's uncle." 在俚語中表示驚訝。在它的前面常可見感嘆詞"Well"。例如：
He really left his wife? Well, I will be a monkey's uncle.（他真的丢下他的妻子？哎呀，我怎麼不知道呢。）
3. Has a monkey on one's back
"To has a monkey on one's back" 在美國俚語中指"染上毒癮"（to have drug addiction）。例如：
